Creating Space to Pour back into Ourselves.

This past weekend was one of those truly heartwarming moments I’ll carry with me for a long time. I had the honor of hosting, The Light Within Her candle-making workshop, bringing together a beautiful group of women to share stories, encouragement, and a little creative light. What unfolded was more than an event, it was a meaningful experience rooted in connection, reflection, and renewal.

During our time together, I shared something that I believe many women need to hear more often:

sometimes, we simply need time for ourselves.

As women, we are natural givers. We give to our families, our work, our communities, and to everyone around us, often before giving to ourselves. We pour out constantly, and when we don’t take time to refill, it can begin to show. We may feel irritated, overwhelmed, or even come across as angry, when in reality, what we truly need is a pause.

Not a pause filled with guilt.

Not a pause filled with obligations.

But a pause that allows us to breathe, reflect, and do something truly therapeutic.

That intention is what shaped

The Light Within Her.

As I guided the women through the candle-making experience, we also created space, for deeper conversation. Stories were shared. Encouragement flowed freely. The women uplifted one another and committed to holding each other accountable for the goals and intentions they want to carry into 2026.

Then came the pouring, the intentional, hands-on moment of creating something tangible. Choosing scents. Watching the wax settle. Being fully present.

The candle-making itself became a form of therapy, reminding us that slowing down is both powerful and necessary.

The candles created that day were more than something beautiful to take home.

They symbolized the light each woman carries within her, even during challenging seasons.

This workshop was about more than candle-making. It was about creating a safe, supportive space where women could pause, reflect, and pour back into themselves so they can continue showing up strong, whole, and renewed.

If you’re a woman who has been giving endlessly and feeling the weight of it, know this: your light matters, and it deserves care too. These workshops are designed to offer rest, creativity, connection, and I look forward to hosting more sessions throughout the coming year.

Until then, never forget: the light within you is still shinning.
